The Different Types of Keno Ticket

Originally played in China, Keno is a very easy game especially if you have been playing the lottery. In a basic keno game, the rule is simple. First you choose numbers from a minimum of one to a maximum of twenty from a card with the numbers 1 to 80. The house then draws 20 numbers at random and your win will depend on how many numbers you guess. Of course, how much you bet also matters.

But if Keno is just simply a card with 80 numbers, then you can argue that it is not that different to the lottery. Unlike the lottery, there are different types of keno tickets or cards. Popular types of keno tickets are the:

1.20-Spot, 2.Edges, 3.High-End, 4.King, 5.Left or Right, 6.Top or Bottom and 7.Race Horse.

The simplest of these types of keno ticket to fill up is the King Ticket. All you need to do is choose one number or the "King."A King ticket however also has the option of being played with other tickets that allowing some versatility.

Another example of the types of keno tickets is the Race Horse. Although this type is just similar to your ordinary keno ticket, it was called such due to an earlier practice of matching the number drawn with a racehorse. The practice was stopped some years back but it seems the name was stuck.

Three types of keno tickets have actually some similarity to them. These are the Top or Bottom, Left or Right and Edges. In the Top or Bottom, a player selects either the top of the ticket or the bottom part. In order for a player to be considered a winner, certain numbers drawn must be in the area selected. In some casinos they require at least 13 while there are those who considers you a winner if you matched only 8. Similar with the Top or Bottom, the Left or Right is just choosing which side you think more of the drawn numbers will match.

Edge ticket also has the same rule. The main difference of Edge tickets with the previously mentioned two types of keno tickets is that there are only 32 numbers needed to match. This is because a typical keno ticket consists of 10 columns and 8 rows. Counting the numbers on the edge of the ticket will give you 32.

The last of these types of keno ticket is the high-end ticket. Unlike simple keno tickets, a high-end keno ticket pays a player a higher if the player manages to get a large amount of spots. High-end keno tickets give a rather large payout but also involves higher risk.
